Would anyone have the link to the LH cargo 747
that ended up with it's fuselage kinked in the hangar?

The forward, center two & rear jacks were installed.

The lock rings were spun down on the fwd and aft jacks but were left up on the two center body jacks. Overnite, the centers bled down and the weight of the ac. on the fwd and aft jacks kinked the fuselage.

Wonder if it was written off?

Thks.

Sorry, Unmanned,

I have several shots of that incident, but don't quite know how to post them here! Nothing I've tried seems to work!

Two photos of the mishap can be found here:

D-ABYZ was repaired in two months time and sold to Air Atlanta as TF-AMF in March this year.

So it was a fix it and flog it because we wouldn't operate it then?

LH has only kept their -400s, so they would have sold it anyway.

TF-AMF does not seem to be operating (yet?), and there are no pictures of it on Airliners.net (under that reg)

It seems TF-AMF is still stored at Marana, AZ which explains the lack of info & photos of the plane.

I was reading an update recently that shows that the
ex D-ABYZ has now gone to Evergreen as N487EV or N488EV.
I wish I could find that link again, but might explain why
there are no photos with the plane operating for AAI

SFD,

Is this the link you were thinking of:

http://www.airwaysnews.com/fleet/NAFU.htm

?

The FAA reg. just shows a reservation for N487EV and N488EV:
http://162.58.35.241/acdatabase/NNumSQL.asp?NNumbertxt=487EV
http://162.58.35.241/acdatabase/NNumSQL.asp?NNumbertxt=488EV

so the aircraft is not on the U.S. register.
It is however still on the Icelandic register:

D-ABYZ will be N487EV and operational July 10. D-ABZA will be operational September(?) as N488EV.
