Sosoliso looking for MD80 crews. I read the available posts on life in Nigeria but didn't get a lot of specifics.

Would anyone with firsthand experience/knowledge of Sosoliso and expat life in Nigeria care to comment ?

Sosoliso is not bad a place to work for, I was going to join them last year but the wait to go do the md80 training was what discouraged me.

They pay on time and you'll probably be based in enugu, in eastern nigeria. quiet place, not like the hustle and bustle of lagos.

are you md80 rated?

I guess it depends on what it costs to live adequately in Nigeria. About that, I have no idea. Maybe one can live like a king on that. But $4500, if accurate, seems pretty low in general terms.

Agree with you Bafanguy by the way who is taking care of the maintenance, any ideas ?? and the Md's are efis or not ?? i'm just curious about that

Sosoliso has an agreement with Iberia for the MD-80 maintenance (I believe C/D Checks).

TRAINING CAPTAINS. 7500tt/2000hrs on type

LINE CAPTAINS. 4,500tt/1000hrs on type

CO-PILOT. min. 500hrs acting as FO on MD80
