Hi all

Just wondering if anyone knows of any European carriers offering the sponsored pilot training or "cadet" scheme...

I contacted BA as they mention this on their website however they no longer offer this program.

I have an EU passport and am currently an air traffic controller, but ultimately want to become an airline pilot.

I know how difficult it is to get into these programs but it is an excellent opportunity if you manage to get selected.

I am currently paying my own way for my PPL but it seems it will be way to expensive (and because of work - time restraints) to get any further than PPL level at my own cost.

Any help will be appreciated.

Search the forum for the following schemes:

CTC Wings, Thomsonfly Scheme, BACX Scheme, Air Atlantique, Atlantic Airlines and Gapan.

Best of luck

There are plenty of people self fund their training way past ppl stage and have less well paid jobs than an ATC. The chances of sponsorship in the days of the lo-co carriers is virtually zero. (Try Air Atlantique).

The only other way is an HSBC loan.
