Papers down here have been spreading this message for some time. Only recently it was reported that easyJet are to enter the Spanish internal market next year.

Add to this, the fact that EZY are the second highest user, in terms of flights, at AGP after Iberia.

The routes abroad already exist. The basing of aircraft would allow greater timetable flexibility in terms of early morning departures, as well as a possible entry on internals.

Some friends in AENA say this is possible but Easyjet are playing hard ball on landing fees etc

Makes sense - Swiss flights start in August and if they had early morning starts they could give Iberia some problems on some routes

forget not that the french also think they are getting Nice, the germans Hamburg and the spanish Madrid too. All theses potential bases have been subject to press comment. I'm sure if the deal is right then they'll all happen but bearing in mind the same rumours crop up every summer, I wouldn't put money on it just yet. If they do, great! maybe some decent nightstops!

And what about Marseille whose Low cost terminal out of an ex freight hangar is due to open in March next year and for which EZ has submitted an offer.?
