I used to live in Reading and fly from White Waltham. Superb place, really nice people, good club atmosphere (used to go by bicycle if I expected a heavy night - good parties! Get lucky, a really nice girl gives you a lift home, otherwise you cycled home and Thames Valley Constabulary left you in peace). Also, a good place to keep a plane, do flour bombing, dawn patrols etc... Oh, and they were pretty good on the teaching front as well!
Wcombe Air Park, Booker, near High Wycombe. 2 flying schools,
British Airways flying Club (01494 529262)
and the much bigger/cheaper/better run with more aircraft and instructors:
Wycombe Air Centre 01494 443737. ground school exams can be done here.
