If you are one of the few to convert, how long it take. It seems to take on average about 6 months to get your license back all sorted out with exceptions, yet the money disappears from your bank as soon as the CAA get there mits on the forms.

Applied in February and took about 2 months, yes the money disappears in the first week but they did grant all the types I applied for, some very old and neglected, and you only pay for the first three.
I believe you are automatically issued with a C category now,B2 holders will also need an A category to extend Daily/limiteds they don't hold already.
Things still seem a bit fluid and my company is now advising to wait and see.
Also you get a nasty plastic licence holder for your £423- enjoy

A month for me but did not get a plastic wallet.
I'm B2 but there was some confusion with regard to my A ratings which I have yet to sort out.

Applied for convertion to B2 & C at renewal in January. Money taken immediately. License took 2 months to come in new plastic wallet (with lots of pockets - not sure what for)! Cat A also on license even though I forgot to apply for it(probably because I hold pre-flt / daily all trade approvals).
