I take it you mean the advertisement in Flight International?

I was only posting the ones from the Australian newspaper.

Yes Qatar are after LAMEs, all categories, must hold ICAO 2 Licence, aged under 45, minimum 5 years as a LAME, hangar experience an advantage.

Isn't that ageist! Or doesn't that count over there?

Obviously they do not have any laws against it over there, you would never see an advertisement in Australia like that.

However, although it excludes me IF I was looking at the job, at least it is honest and you know where you stand? In Australia, as in most other Countries, you would go ahead and apply and then either get nowhere when they read your details, or saw your age at the interview?

Which is worse, maybe it is better for them to be honest up front??????

rocketboots,

I was not, and can not, vouch for any of these jobs, merely passing on the advertisements in Australia each week, after many requests for same?

There are a lot of Engineers interested in coming to Australia, also many Australian Engineers that are off shore at present and can not get access to these advertisements easily.

Best regards,

"lame"
