hi folks...I'm flying with ANZ for the second time this year in late Sept from Dublin-London-LA-Auckland-Dunedin.

I understand the 744's are getting interior refits one by one with the new fully flat beds and pacific class is getting new entertainment stuff...?

My questions!!

What is the "stuff" that the pacific class is getting and how many 744s will be done by late Sept - ie what are the chances of me being on one?

Thanks in advance!

first one is in the hangar now - i'm pretty sure though it's going to be used initially on the san fran route for a shakedown period. you'll be cattle class for a while yet....

There should be (according to the plan) 3 x 744's in service by then.
A dedicated LHR & LAX route is not scheduled until Nov (NZ1/2).

Sorry if you get one of the old ships.

You might miss the on-demand video and other refinements.

I think they only have 744s in their jumbo fleet so I guess it still won't be too bad but the newer interior would've been nicer!

Anyway know what economy is getting above what it has now?

Mark, you will find all the info you could possible need on the Air New Zealand website. In fact the longhaul ugrade is still at the top of the highlights list on the homepage.

I noticed all that just a few hours ago...like the way they do stuff like that - attention to detail...!
