RAF Nimrod just flown overhead Southampton, heading NW at about 3000', followed ten minutes later by VC-10 tanker. Any ideas what might be going on?

I saw the Nimrod, 2 Harriers (I think) and 2 Tornados rehearsing over Portsmouth today for the big Trafalgar Fleet review next Tuesday afternoon.
