WOW!

This should be interesting!

What with the Japanese pechant for very strict protocol and the French way... well, the French way...

I would love to be a fly on the wall during negotiation sessions. How will the Japanese handle the French Nationalistic insistance on getting the best of every deal?...

I wonder what gadgets it will have on board. And Robot attendants made by Honda!

I'm being stupid now. :rolleyes:

Is It just me or is it a bit of shame that BWoS aren't in on the act? Then it really would be 'son' of concorde.

I'm sure the yanks will have something to say about the supersonic boom business on the way fom NY to Japan etc. Wasn't that one of the reasons why concorde wasn't a commercial success??

I think you'll find that Concorde ultimately was pretty darn successful considering its troubled birth.

3 things conspired to kill it off, the Paris crash, the aftermath of the 9-11 World Trade Centre attack and the disinclination of Airbus Industrie to renew the type certificate.

It could have survived any one of the three, maybe two of the three, but all three together...

France couldn't make it pay and wanted rid of it post crash - It would have killed them to see the British continue to make it work..............'Industry' isn't spelt with an 'ie' for nothing - What type certificate?:}
