Does any body have any suggestions or tips about finding a maintenance position is Asia? I have spent 5 years in Saudi, but do not have any contacts in Asia. I have a FAA A&P and experience on all types of commercial aircraft. I am currently working as a Heavy Maintenance Rep for a major airline in the states. I'm dying boerdom and want to go abroad again.

For HKG try http://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/intracx/content/images/12_aboutus_logo.gif (http://www.cathaypacific.com) or HAECO (http://www.haeco.com) although you would need HKG CAD Licences (UK CAA based).

Thanks I will check it out. I am afraid my lack of a CAA ticket is going to make my search more difficult. I do not give up easy though.

thanks!!

It sure is but look at JAR66 licence thread and convert. Try SASCO or Malaysian. Also Emirates may take and convert.

Thanks for the JAR66 tip. Is it available on the net?? I have a Cayman Island CAA approval on the 737-200. It was only a matter of faxing a letter and all my training records to the Cayman CAA office. My endorsement came back in a couple of days via fax with the original comming in the post. I worked with the UK CAA when I renewed the C of A on my last airplane. I will research this JAR66 info.

Thanks

CB
