Help

Is there a formula to work out a rate of turn eg degrees per sec
for a given airspeed and angle of bank.

60knots and 20 degrees angle of bank.

Cheers

BB

Yes, the one that BEagle gave you in your identical thread (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=178506) in the Flight Instructors Forum.

No probs Big Beres

Use 10% IAS +7 eg: 100kts = 17 AOB eg: 80kts = 15 AOB
this is a std rate one turn 360 degree in 2 min.

No not from a text book at least i dont think it is, its what we use and its spot on. cheers :ok:

Ps: just been and looked at the "identical thread" seems there is an actuall cal: but the above is simple rule of thumb and is very accurate. (but i guess you could use your scientific calculator while flying IFR couldnt you? :yuk: lol)
