Roy's funeral will take place at 1200 hrs on Wednesday 15th June at the Vale Crematorium, Stopsley, Luton. Followed by a reception at Putteridge Bury.

For those wishing to attend who do not know the area, the Vale Crematorium is on the A505 going toward Hitchin from Luton just after you pass the Stopsley roundabout. Putteridge Bury is a little further down the A505 on the opposite side to the Crem.

Thats sad news, haven't looked on this site for a while and not spoken to anyone at Monarch for nearly a year. Was Roy still a Crew Chief in Hangar 60 when he passed away? A decent chap, his bark was a lot worse than his bite and he was well liked by all those who worked under him. I was an apprentice under him at Monarch in the nineties mainly on the A300 D-checks.

Roy was in charge of hangar 60 (in revised role of Group Leader) until he became ill. A300 checks are still carried out in there.
