Rumours abound that the Durban branch of NAC has been sold to Sheltham Aviation currently based in PE. The process is underway to finalize the deal.

NAC will maintain the Durban helicopter operation as well as an aircraft sales office. Essentially it will be a name change and staff and operations will continue as before.

Sheltham bought NAC PE some years ago and have successfully run and expanded that business.

Interesting times!

Does NAC not belong to Safair and does Safair not belong to Imperial? Now what...?

as far as I know N.A.C, Safair belong to the Imperial group and Safair has bought some shares at Naturelink.

rr1,

Is that maybe why Naturelink got the Embraer agency in SA? I was wondering...?

Its the end of an era for N.A.C. Durban. A great shame as there are some good folks down there. Hopefully everyone will continue to be employed by the new guys.

I dont think Naturelink got the EMB agency because of their connections, but that,s a personal opinion however Naturelink bought/leased , not sure, the first EMB 120 around the second quarter of last year which replaced an ex Nac 1900D in Amman , Jordan

Ruffs,

I believe it's only for the Lagacy but that Naturelink is also looking at an EMB service centre for southern Africa. Good stuff if it's true.
