How many domestic & international (where there is a distinction) airports are there within the EU and the USA?

There are many hundreds / thousands of airports in the USA. Many are private grass affairs. You're goiing to have to set some minimum criteria to get a meaningful number.
Perhaps you mean airports with scheduled airline service N days or more each week.
