EK LHR to go to 5 X Daily

Heard a rumour yesterday that EK will commence a fifth daily service from LHR departing 1600GMT (ish) in July or August.

Anybody know anything about this?

Also who did they get the slots from?

New flight is EK29 / 30, arrives LHR 1415 and departs LHR 1605. 777-300 to be used from 1 August daily. I think (but not 100% sure) that the slot has been bought from Air France.

As far as we know, it'll be a 330 flight, EK manager at LHR told me.

I think this would explain why the BHX 2x daily A330 service (starting June 1st) reverts back to a daily 772 operation for August.
