Thomsonfly Seating on 767

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if Thomsonfly reconfigure there 767 200 / 300 aircraft in the winter to a different seating capacity

Think i saw on there website the config on the 767 200 aircraft was 274 or 290

For example on the P&O charters out of MAN LGW and BOH to Barbados do they only have all economy or any premier cabins in the winter and in the summer do they just have an all economy cabin for the European sun routes

The configurations of the aircraft all stay the same regardless of the season. The configurations are as follows:

B757-200 - 235
B767-200 (Longhaul) - 274
B767-200 (Shorthaul) - 290
B767-300 (Standard) - 328
B767-300 (Premium) - 315

I have operated P&O cruise flight with both cabins - P&O decide who sits in premium if there is an upgraded cabin.

Premium configured aircraft are normally solely longhaul aircraft. Some do operate european routes but only when another aircraft is tech (maybe wrong on last point not sure!)

Yes the 767-200's do get reconfigured in the winter for 274, as apposed to 290 in the summer. This is because they operate a lot more long haul in the winter, as apposed to the summer when they are normally programmed to do short haul.

Currently all the B767-200's have 290 seats.

All the B757's have 235 seats.

The Boeing 767-300's have 328 seats (G-OBYB, C, D, E, G, G) or 315 seats (G-OBYH, I, J)

BLIMEY, in May 1989, I flew non stop from Luton to Orlando in a Britannia 767-200 (Second ever KMCO departure from Luton). It had 252 seats with no Premier Economy and the pitch was very tight then! The following year, the then newly wed Mrs Buster and I flew again to Orlando, this time with a 272 seat configuration B767-200.

They must have re-designed the seats, removed loo's and sit the flight deck on the nose to get the passenger numbers in the same planes now!

As an aside, Britannia....WHOOPS HapagTUIflyLuftThomsonHLX have a fleet of quite old jets compared to other major UK/European airlines.
