Hi there,

was wondering if anyone has attempted to go through the Lufthansa training scheme. I know it's all in German, but I thought maybe some people had attempted it!

I'm going for the initial tests in August and would be interested in hearing from anyone who has done them already.

Anyone gotten through the initial tests and doing the training? Would love to know how it's coming along!

Thanks!
:D

Hi Troydi,
in the beginning is to say, that you should speak real good German if you want to pass... :oh:
The Selection is separated in 2 Steps:

The first step is the “Berufsgrunduntersuchung - BU” which is something like a basic skill test where they want to see if you are able to do the job. This is all done at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) (http://www.hh.dlr.de) in Hamburg at two days. You should carefully read This (http://www.hh.dlr.de/coaching/ucatinfo.pdf)! If you have more questions you should ask here (http://pilotenboard.de/viewforum.php?f=2), and for more information and some experience reports read a little bit
here (http://pilotenboard.de/viewforum.php?f=7).

The second step is then finally the “Firmenqualifikation - FQ” which is only to see if you fit to the company.
If you have more questions you should ask here (http://pilotenboard.de/viewforum.php?f=3), and for more information and some experience reports read a little bit here (http://pilotenboard.de/viewforum.php?f=8).

Cheers

Thanks Aerowinx,

I've just been going through their CD to have a look at the practice tests for the assessment day. (I particularly like the look of the English test - gotta love being a native speaker!) I've been in Germany for the last 2 years studying, so my German's pretty much up to scratch - apart from the fact the course has nothing to do with Physics or Maths, so the Vocab I'm going to have to learn in 2 months could be a little challenging. :ugh:

Thanks for the links as well. I wasn't quite sure where to look!

Got to make sure I get this one right - only one attempt allowed!

All the best - will keep you posted!

On a side note, has anyone here, a non native German speaker gone for it? Successful or unsuccesful..?
