Addis Asmara No Fly Zone Urgent !!

Fellow Africa aviators:

Planning a UN flight from Bujumbura to Asmara via Addis. Cant get info regarding the latest No Fly Zone situation between Ethiopia and Eritrea.
Is it still neccesary to route out to sea and or via Port Sudan. Any ex NAC drivers there with the latest info please.

Can the UN flight briefing folks not give you any info?

They are not to sure. Its quite a sensitve area and dont want to risk getting into trouble UN clearance or not. These people tend to shoot first and ask questions later. RIP Allan Lewis.


Will probably route via Kasala in The Sudan.
Just want to see if there was anyone with the latest though.
