Can any one fill me in on the details of the (in)famous Warren ?!?!

From the little bits ive heard, it sounds like a ripper or a story.

The story is a complete fabrication from one of QFs more pleasant flight attendants. One of those types who gets half of everything you have ever worked for!

Warren no longer works for QF... But what I can't work out is if warren was a ****** what about the rest of the QF pilot's?

The poor bloke who is the scorn of an angry flight attendant does still work for QF.

Anyway, i am sure Keg can give us the full details.


My memory is a bit hazy.....I think the story is a long the lines of - "Warren" pissed of 'said' QF flight attendant (cant remember how), pissed of flight attendant says 'right I'll get you back" (and thinks to herself......."I am QF Flight attendant, THIS IS MY AEROPLANE"**) - It supposedly occured on 767 - with crew rest at aft end of J class, with sliding door....... so she has then gone and told everyone she opened the door, and caught poor warren doing something he shouldnt be doing.



The Story made up by the FA is complete and utter BS.

The story is NOT true.

I know the "Warren" in question having flown with him and know he's a perfectly nice bloke. He could, and perhaps should have, taken the F/A in question for everything the b^&ch had for Defamation.

Who hasnt been caught haveing a special moment with the little fella at least once in their lives ?!?!

The story wasn`t a fabrication, as Warren`s brother, Tony, will confirm.

Undoubtedly embellished along the way, the story goes something like this......
Warren was a First (or Second) Officer of a heavy crew on a QF B747 at the time, and was taking his rest in the crew bunk when the Captain called one of the (female) F/A`s to the flight deck, and asked her to wake Warren up, so that one of the other tech. crew members could take his rest.
The story goes that the aforementioned F/A opened the door of the crew rest area to find Warren "examining himself".
Thinking she`d been set up, the F/A stormed back to the cockpit.....in this case Flight Deck.......and let out a tirade of abuse at the Skipper - something along the lines of, "I suppose you think that was funny. Well I`m going to put a report in on you, and your filthy F/O!"
The Captain, unaware of what she (the F/A) had "been exposed to", apparently retaliated by telling the F/A that she ought to know her place.

"Having a Warren?", and "Is that you Warren?", were frequent and common responses, each time a QF aircraft was heard on the air in the early - mid 1990`s.

Warren is probably a well respected, senior Captain in QF now - but even if he has left, as DEE-DUCK states, he is one of Australian aviation`s legends! :ok:
