AAI has been hiring alot of new crew for upcoming contracts, but what has happened recently ?

I have friends that passed their screening, but still have not been sent to type rating courses. ( waiting several months ) Has there been any courses this year ?

Does anyone know ?

That's it fire the crews. Guess they think that will relieve their serious cash flow problems.

Anyone thinking of joining this lot had better read some of these posts.

AS I understand we have 0 new hire courses going on right now.

None.

However we are losing 20 guys a quarter!

why is AAI loosing around 20 guys a quarter. Is it because of lay offs or people just leaving voluntarily. I thought their cargo and charter business is doing well and infact booming.

I guess i was under the wrong impression?

Job market slowly returning.
Old freight companys expanding, some new to start.
Competition great.
Should improve condition everywhere.

Kalitta, Atlas,Evergreen,Southern Air Transport, and some new company out Seattle for China Contract.
Good to see all hiring once again.
Maybe drive the bad ones away!
Atlanta not the only company here in this area.

well since people are leaving for greener pastures am sure it must be affecting AAI and their business. crew shortage might be a problem. are they doing anything to stem the outflow. i mean like thinking of amending and improving work conditions and pay contracts.
