Well, as Ian McFadyen starts packing his trunk, the new LG has been announced.

Vice Admiral Sir Paul Haddacks will be taking up his post in October. Can't see much about aviation in his write up in the local rag.

Anyone any knowledge?

I served under him when he was captain of HMS Intrepid in 1986 ish. He went on to become COMAW I think, knows a lot about Junglie circuit I'd imagine. Seemed like a good guy, very stern as a skipper, didn't mess with him, dished out a good bollocking on the bridge from what I recall.

Phew!

It's about the Lieutenant Governorship of the Isle of Man. What a relief! With phrases like "Matelot for Man" and usernames like "Toplad22"; I thought PPRuNE had become some sort of gay dating board!
