Just tried opening a PDF in Firefox and Adobe opens with the error:

"Cannot use Adobe Reader to view PDF in your web browser. Reader will now exit. Please press the refresh button in your browser to start Acrobat."

Adobe then closes and on window refresh same thing happens.

I can however open PDFs in AOL and IE windows?

Any suggestions?

Thanks :ok:

Found this with google

What I did in Firefox was go to Tools-->Options-->Downloads-->Plugins and disabled the pdf plugin. Once I did that and clicked on a link to a pdf document, Firefox asked me what program I would like to use. I selected the acrobat reader executable and told it to do that typically.

Firefox is now using Acrobat reader to open pdf's and seems to be quite fast. Not only that, but if I go to Tools-->Options-->Downloads then I can now see the pdf filetype in the filetypes window.

Hope that helps!

That's got it opening, thanks! :ok:

Any idea how to get it to open in that window though? So I don't end up with blank page plus the Adobe window?
