If you've the right to live and work in the European Union no problems, if not I'm afraid eJ won't employ you.

Pay rates are all on www.easyJet.com. AS a rough guide a captain can expect to take home about Ģ4200 GBP after tax each month. The actual amount varies depending on how much work you are doing. You will typically do 42 sectors per month over about 18 days rostered work with some 4 sector days. We work a 5/2-5/4 fixed roster pattern which means 5 earlies, 2 days off, 5 lates, 4 days off and so on. Most, but not all, people regard it as a good company to work for and the A319 fleet seems easier overall than the B737 but that is a subjective view.

.....work with some 4 sector days........???
Majority is 4 sector days. Out of ten I had nine 4 sector days for example this month!
Thatīs just an individual number, maybe depending on the base you are flying. But "some" 4 sector days looks to me very optimistic!

Luton days are fairly equally split between 2 and 4 sector days, for example my May roster shows 12 days flying, 5 of which are 4 sector days, 7 are 2 sector days.
June is showing 5 x 2 sector days and 4 x 4 sector day.

Of course this is still a Boeing base.

have never done less than 4 sectors with easy. do a fair few 6 sector days due short route net from my base. overall though not worked too hard at all!

after 20 years in aviation I think this is the best airline job I've had if you factor in all the plus and minus points.

like NSF I'd recommend it. but do your research some guys genuinely don't like it here for fair reasons.

cheers.

Like I have said the 4-sector days are base-dependent and to an extent luck of the draw for the individual. I can only quote from my own roster - 17 rostered days flying in May with 8 4-sector days, 17 rostered days flying in June with 7 4-sector days. I think that is OK frankly but others may disagree.

Forgive my ignorance - but what exactly is a sector !?

Thanks

A sector - a leg or an individual flight

ie. Luton-Barcelona-Luton = 2 sectors

Luton - Krakow - Luton - Berlin - Luton = 4 sectors

Thanks Greaser. That was pretty much what I had imagined it to be !! I just starting having doubts and wondered if a sector was a return trip, which it clearly is not !!

What to do?

Hi

When we say earlies, how early? Are you expected to be there 1.5 hours before push?

Can I possibly get an average early sesh example, and not a rare shocker!!

Cheers

Report is one hour before push. A long early for example would be report 6am Luton-Aberdeen-Luton-Bratislava-Luton finish at about 4pm. Or 5am report Luton-CDG-Luton-Amsterdam-Luton finish about midday.
2 sector examples would be report between 5 and 6am, maybe Warsaw or Malaga return, finish maybe 1 or 2 pm.
