As from 2 days ago the Departure Ramp on the South Terminal has been closed for cars. Only Buses and Taxis are only operating from here due to the coach station on the lower floor being closed.
Spoke to a Traffic Warden who told me "Avoid Gatwick for the summer - these works are to last 6 to 8 MONTHS" also quoted "that if this works then it may be changed permantly". He told me how rediculous this was and the traffic was back to the roadabout but he was wrong the queue started 2 miles up the M23 at 07.00 this morning.
Not good - Looking for some night flying or early starts now.
