Airfield Ops Jobs

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone can suggest where I would look to find jobs airside? The type of thing I'm interested in applying for are Airfield Ops ie Runway Inspection/Bird Scaring and all the associated duties required under these roles. I have no idea where to start looking.Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction also with details of what they require generally in terms of qualifications and experience.

I live in Manchester so I will be looking to work at MAN.

Been on the MAN website and there is nothing available like this so I dont know whehter they would advertise these type roles on the website or via a more specialised website.

Your help would be very much appreciated.

Not sure what MAN selection ctiteria is, but if it was BAA airport then if you are already employed by the company, say Security, and can demonstrate that you have at least the competencies required then you're to be seriously considered. Same goes for external candidates with aviation background, including University graduates. It also helps if you have aspirations to get into Ops management as Airfield ops experience is a very important stepping stone for this.

as you're such a fan of blk, try getting some experience by going down t'prom and saying boo to the seagulls. that's a start.

Best advice get yourself any job that allows you to gain knowledge of any airside operations.Then methodically work yourself up the ladder in time. It works

Good experience can be gained by working for an aircraft operator - the "airport operators" sometimes need to get a grasp or handle on what the operators actually do ! after all they provide the revenue
