can some one explane what the difference is between wet leasin and dry leasing?
this is confusing me i only thought there was one type of leasing!!!!

Dry leasing = just the plane (to be operated on the lessee airline's own AOC)

Wet leasing = the plane and crew (and thus usually operated on the aircraft owner's AOC)

Damp leasing = (typically) the plane and the flight crew, lessee provides their own cabin crew

"Only one type of lease"? Gosh, we haven't even got started on finance leases versus operating leases, or the various wild and wonderful tax leases, or...

cheers that has cleared up a bit of confusion for me!!!!

i was wanderin cos the airline i work for is wet leasing an ATR 72 to Air Wales!

Wet Lease = ACMI lease - aircraft, crew, maintenance, insurance.

Dry Lease = aircraft
