In line with the other "best ofs", what do you believe has been the "best" cover up?

I'll kick off with the alien craft crashlanding at Roswell (http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/ritson/scispi/roswell/main.shtml), NM in 1947 and subsequent insistence by the USAF that it was a weather balloon that had fallen to earth....

How would we know which was the best cover up?

If really it was the best, then none of us would ever have heard of it.:ooh:

I heard you telling my poor, darling daughter that it was to get even further away from me. It didn't work though did it? :E Think I might just plan another nice little stay. A six months long one would suit me very nicely :ok:

My recently ex'd boyfriend...for all the lies he's told me to cover up the truth! and for stringing me along for months...;)

He's in the wrong profession, he should be a spin doctor for a political party, not a pilot

A serious one!! :(

The debacle of the premature introduction into service of the Chinook Mk 2 without a release to service and when the RAF's own test pilots had refused to fly their example any more until major safety related issues for the type were resolved, not even 10 minutes up the road to get the aircraft serviced.

The subsequent dreadful treatment of the two pilots when one such aircraft crashed the following day without explanation, becoming the RAF's worst peace time accident.

More likely Gross negligence by the MOD, not the pilots. :suspect:

See the Chinook thread on Rotorheads....
