Reading an article on the new Airbus A380 and its introduction at some of the world's busiest and largest airports, I found some references to the ongoing expansion of Dubai International Airport.

I believe that at present, there are two terminals. Terminal 1 (Shaikh Zayed Terminal) is used by Emirates and most international carriers while the modest Terminal 2, on the other side of the runways, houses charter and hajj flights.

Can someone shed some light on what/where the new Concourses 2 and 3 are? Are these detached terminals and if so, why are they refered to as 'Concourses' instead of terminals? And where will the new Terminal 3 be located and for which carriers is it being reserved?

I searched the Dubai Airport website and it lacks any detailed expansion information and diagrams. Does anyone have any links to a comprehensive webpage with airport diagrams, etc?
