From 4 to 3 flights per weekday.

Rumour or truth?

Anyone in the know?

Presume not enough pax to carry 4 daily flights despite increasing pax at ABZ overall.

A quick check on CAA stats for Jan2005 compared to Jan2004 show an 8% drop in pax nos on the LGW-ABZ.

Assuming stats for Feb-Apr 2005 show a similar drop, then no wonder BA are cutting back to 3 flights from 4,if indeed true.

Don\'t know,perhaps a route for some competition,as LHR-ABZ went up 26% with BA/BMI competing on that route?

Would LGW-ABZ benefit from competition, especially loco?

The BA timetable for the rest of this year shows 4 flights

If my source is wrong(& I hope he is!)I'll kick his A*$E!

LGW was always a good route for transferring oil pax to the likes of Nigeria & IAH.

I would have thought BA make good money on ABZ-LGW,as the sole carrier.

Well I've just looked at BA timetables for July &,indeed,it only shows 3 flights each way M-F,not the 4 there currently is.

The BA 2924/5 is only showing Sat instead of M-Sat as is current.
