I can't believe the amount of coffee the people in Vancouver drink (I just got back......Bono says "Hi!")

Unfreakingbeliveable. Just about every corner has a Starbucks/Tim Hortons/Seattle Coffee Co etc..., and everywhere you turn you see people of all ages with coffee cups in their hands. I'm seriously not exaggerating. We went into a pub for a couple of beers, and there were people in there drinking coffee as well.

I love coffee. I even enjoy typing the word.

Coffee. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

I had four cups today, though one was less than satisfactory.

Gotta go, I've got a brew on.

(oh, and I never cared for beer either :yuk: )

Caffeine is my shepherd; I shall not doze.
It maketh me to wake in green pastures:
It leadeth me beyond the sleeping masses.
It restoreth my buzz:
It leadeth me in the paths of consciousness for its name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of addiction,
I will fear no Equal (tm):
For thou art with me; thy cream and thy sugar they comfort me.
Thou preparest a pot before me in the presence of others:
Thou annointest my day with pep; my mug runneth over.
Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life: and
I will dwell in the House of Vittoria for ever.

Much prefer a nice cup of tea (ref: threads passim).

I'm usually to be found with a hot, steaming mug in my hand !

Try going to New York Jerricho, there is a starbucks on every corner, and I mean at an intersection there will be a Starbucks on all 4 corners just so the fat yank doesn't have to cross the street to get their fix. We walked from Times square to our hotel in Lexington Ave and counted 35 Starbucks outlets!!

I drink tea in the morning and coffee at work when I need a kick in the asse. But not that flavoured shite, but real old fashioned brewed stuff. Frappicino Mocha Whip Hazlenut latte spppppeeewwwww!!!!

Different drinks for different situations and different times of day. First thing in the morning: tea and lots of it. From mid morning till early evening, I drink coffee.

One of the great pleasures in life is a huge coffee with an extra shot of espresso when you arrive in the US and have a four hour wait before your connecting flight.

By far the most overrated drink in the world - shite.

I like the smell of hot coffee - could even get by with just the smell; but off late with the lovely Bombay summer, cold coffee tastes just as good.... there you go, now you've made me want a glass! :{

One sups the occasional Turkish/Greek/Arab/ME Nation of your choice coffee but those dinky lickle cups are a waste of time. Prefer it in a litre mug...

That's about the only coffee one can stomach.

Another rotary quirk?

I can't stand the stuff either - now tea thats a different mattter!

I am a coffee person - although didn't notice the starbucks in Vancouver... did however notice them every 100yrds in San Francisco. Still - I don't understand how they can ALL be in business and making money.

In fact I splashed out on Nescafe Cape Colombia coffee last week - 2 or 3 times the price of normal stuff but boy is it worth it. Made a fantastic cuppa... in fact you've all inspired me.. I'm gonna go and make a brew before I start my day.

we'got a Senseo (http://www.senseo.com) at work so we can use coffee pods to make one cup at a time. Great invention.
