I have a friend whose father Sam Curtis was a Nav on, amongst other things, Canberras. Sam sadly passed away a few weeks back and his son is trying to piece together a pictorial history of his career. He is short of photos of Canberras, I believe Sam served on 12, 16 and 56 Sqns. I would appreciate any guidance in this matter.

Moony, I was in the church.
Try writing a very nice letter to OC 12 at RAF Lossiemouth. 12 have a marvellous photoalbum of the Sage of the Shinnies.
If you get no reply within 20 working days you can then hit them with the FOI! Bit of a club but they do have the album and they MUST let you have copies.
Suggest you offer to pay for copies of the photos, you might get them for free. If you mention the SotS and Binbrook pre '63 then you should get results.
