atpl examination

Hi,

I´m looking for some basic informations about the atpl examination in the uk. I found in the lasors publication, that it´s possible to write only a part of the examination and that there are 6 attempts to pass the test.

So it´s possible to learn 4 subjects and write the first examination and if I received the results I can learn the other subjects ?

Is this possible ?

Most people do the exams in two sittings. The only difference is what exams get done in what order.
My understanding is that you MUST do the exams through an approved ground school, that is follow their approved syllabus and attend a revision course before the exams. The ground school also sign your exam application form so you can't sneak around the system. Best way is to talk to a couple of the gound schools. I used Bristol. Very happy with them.

Same as above.

Most schools will teach you the ATPL syllabus over 2 modules. Each module will have 6, 7 or 8 subjects (mine is split 7:7, Bristol is 8:6 iirc).

However Cabair do split their ATPL distance learning over 4 modules, each with 3 or 4 subjects and thus exams at the end of it.

Personally I like the 2 modules as it'll give you plenty of time and spare sittings to pass any resits that you may have to undertake.
