First thing I noticed, apart from the fact that it looks like an oversized Guppy is the huge gull wing arrangement. Anyway, if this aeroplane truly has the range for something like Melbourne to London, non-stop, it will probably be a winner for pax - and a bit of a worry for places like Singas and Bangas that are likely to be bypassed by all that traffic.

I think the DC10 wing had that similar gull-shape from behind... trailing edge heading way south at the root.

Dunno if it was continued into the MD11 - I think they pretty well re-did the wings from scratch.

The inverted gull look to the MD11 wing is indeed prevalent. Has one heck of an inverse camber at the wingroot too by memory.

The wing root design, with the gull etc certainly makes for spectacular cloud generation on humid days and a little alpha!
