Flybe are now operating a 757 to Spain out of Exeter! Boy they are doing well!

FF - don't jump the gun!

I think you'll find that the 757 operating for Flybe was in place of the tech Hola Airlines 737 that has been operating for Flybe over the past few weeks.

If it is anything like the contract drawn up with Astraeus then I would imagine that it is the subcharterer who would have to foot the bill in the event of any faults with their own aircraft - not Flybe!

Actually it was an Excel Airways Boeing 737-800 G-XLAA. It was leased to Hola to replace their 737 EC-IEZ which is operating the Exeter Flybe sunshine flights. The Hola 737 was parked at Exeter with a large gash in the fuselage yesterday.

I agree, if the FlyBE on the tail was higher it wouldn't look so bad. Working in Jersey CI we don't see the likes on EasyJet so i can't comment- sorry EasyBaby :)

I've noticed that the decals used on the 737 and the latest painted 146 (G-JEAX) are slightly different to the original logo and the rest of the fleet. The lettering (especially the 'e' in flybe.) is definatley different as is the width of the full stop at the end.
Doesn't look as good IMHO?

I believe the decals on the 73 are actually just 146 ones nicked from stock! Hence the out of proportion size......

Lovely idea, but can't be true. The full livery including titles was painted onto the 737s rather than using decals. Past experience of decals shows that they tend to come off rather too often. Best example was when Titan launched their new logo a few years ago. They took off; part of the decal at the top of the "n" moved during the flight and it landed with "Titair" titles on it instead.

the ghastly easyjet.com billboard being used since year dotActually it hasn't been used since the year dot. The original Easyjet livery for some years had the reservations telephone number (several different ones used) down the fuselage rather than the .com name.
