Hi everyone ( and Onan... I cant get the hang of PM's by the way)

I was wondering, and by way of introducing yourselves to me because I'm new. Who are the Ladies who contribute here. There are the obvious ones but others remain sexless so to speak.

Jerricho and Onan you have 2 minutes to come up with 2 innuendos each about my post:E

Jerricho

2 minutes? Geeze, I can't do ANYTHING that lasts for 2 minutes.

Having more than once been subjected to the demoralising experience of being mistaken for a bloke here (who says only men can make money on the markets??) I'll start the ball rolling - and partners in crime off the top of my head for a JB girls night out would have to include Blue Diamond, lexxity and Brockenspectre .... :ok: :ok:

Didja get the pudicat Onan's Girlfriend? RU sure the alien hasn't secreted itself anywhere? Do non-blokes exist in JB? :O

Onan's Girlfriend , allow me to introduce myself, I am the long-suffering mother in law of that useless, idle layabout Jerricho

With a face like hers, my MIL could stop anything.

One notices the Clumsy one is being very quite. Perhaps he's being a bit shy.

I suppose it's difficult with the written word to decide which gender a writer is; similar to real life sometimes ;)

However, Whirlygig is ALL woman.

Three Durban bars have benefitted from propping up so far! Having been up for 30 hours now, need relaxation before my last night cap and the curry's brought round.

I understood the term "lady" doesn't apply to anyone who hangs out on here. I can live with that, but will admit to being female. :}

TandT....I think that we would have guessed from your title that you were a lady...either that or extremely weired..:}
Strange thing is that I was brought up to always think of... and refer to...females as ladies.....it's becoming more and more difficult to sustain the fallacy...

I reckon shortly we'll be seeing Onan's Mother, Onan's Grandmother, Onan's probation officer, Onan's milkman. A real family forum this is. :hmm:

I think the preferred terms these days would probably be "men" and "women." The words "lady" and "gentleman" have overtones or connotations of a certain type of person, often of someone with a somewhat stilted manner, or who perhaps is fairly formal. The words "men" and "women" don't seem to have those associations attached to them, they seem to me more neutral somehow.

Like in: "men's room" and "woman's room". :rolleyes:

Are you saying I'm stilted because, at certain times, I like to be refered to as Lady? (I can be anything but a Lady at certain other times.)

Capt. KAOS,

Thank you for reminding me, Onan, tell the milkman only two pints tomorrow.

TnT,

A true lady if ever there was one.

Not at all. Put as simply as I can, I am saying that the words "lady" or "gentleman" will evoke some image or expectation but the words "man" and "woman" do not seem to do that.

pw1 I find it odd that the Americans use the term "female" - as in "I am a female" (not me you understand) It would be ok in say "I am a female pilot" but just female, makes it sound (to me at least) like they're an exhibit in a zoo.

Cpt K Perhaps Leuitenant K and Major K etc would also be available

IFTB Good point, but wouldn't it be "mens' room" and "womens' room"?

Sweetheart Two pints it is then. That reminds me I need to call the sperm donation centre today.

BFU Yes you might search for those things, but end up with lady in the bedroon, cook in the dining room and the one you so deilcately didn't mention in the kitchen :}

Sweetheart again Rescue you? I think I've forgotten where I put the keys :E

reddo I haven't really got an answer to that. Perhaps a gentleman would take the wet spot afterwards :ugh:
