:sad: Sadly Britannia (Tui / Thomson Tours) had a change in management ideas and Accra as a destination is not in their future plans.

Last flight will be Wednesday 27 April 05.

A lot of professional people that I worked with will be dearly missed and your accuracy of arrivals / plans ... and especially professionalism will be dearly missed.

You will be sorely missed but friendships has been made :sad:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sad news over ... :ok: Astraeus will take over their slots as of Fri 22 April 05 on a scheduled service. GH Tours was chosen as their General Sales Agents in Ghana and the UK. :ok:
The weekly flight will become twice - weekly from Mon / Tue 2 / 3 May 05 and a three - weekly flight will be introduced on Thursday, 9 June 2005.
Again a Professional team taking over from another professional team. Good luck and best wishes to you all. :ok:
Hi Guns
Very kind words and I would like to return the complement.
It was a pleasure meeting and working with you too. You helped me keep my sanity! Keep chucking them off when the need arises.!
Hope you have been able to maintain a similar position with Astraeus.
My regards to Elvis
Hey HD ! No two ways who YOU are mate .. one and only case in my contacts list that has a hotmail dot co dot uk address :E
mate forgive me but I must split the beans on you ..
HD (semi - retired) came here for a holiday - I mean to work but he walked into walls .. but the best was (he is just 4vt and a few inches tall) and weighs less than my left leg ..
Worst to come was when he offloaded a passenger THREE times - yes THREE times ... oh my ... will never forget that :p :p :p And on top of it three different times - three different flights - same guy ...
You will be glad to know he is banned from flying (well in Ghana anyway) :ok:
Bless you mate - mail on the way (come and visit - I need someone to offload the drunks) ;)
Ghana Tours, the United Kingdom based charter flight operator to Ghana has signed up with Astraeus Airlines, a British scheduled airline based in the United Kingdom to improve on its services to Accra, Ghana.
Ghana Tours over the past 17 months has contributed enormously to the development of tourism in Ghana, by pioneering continuous charter flight services to the country in association with Britannia Airways.
Consequently, Ghana Tours has won praise not only for its promotion of tourism to Ghana, but also for its efficient operations; ensuring that customers to Accra are offered with cost-effective and reliable services.
Astraeus prides itself on the provision of high quality on-board product at all times. The company’s standard product for example includes complimentary three-course in-flight meals for all passengers with hot towels afterwards with free complimentary soft drinks. On longer flights operated by its 'premium service' Boeing 757 aircraft, Astraeus screens the latest movies. And on all long flights of five or more hours duration Astraeus offers additional snack services prior to arrival. According to Anthony Ogunseintan, managing director of Ghana Tours, the company’s association with Astraeus is for good measure. “We are proud to announce our relationship with Astraeus. This is an airline company that is capable of delivering what our customers want. Passengers enjoy a premiere economy service only normally seen in business class. This is certainly an added value that our customers have always wanted. Our customers are happy with us, and will most welcome this new association, that is all part of our goal of being a customer-focused, value driven company”, Mr Ogunseintan said.
Ghana Tours will start utilising the services of Astraeus beginning May this year, offering twice weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays direct to Accra from London Gatwick, North Terminal. From the 9th June the service will increase to 3 flights a week. Peter Cox, Head of Sales for Astraeus said “we are very pleased to have teamed up with Ghana Tours to promote these flights between the UK and Ghana. Our aim is to provide a good quality, professional and punctual operation to meet and exceed the requirements of our customers”.
