I need informations about Ryanair interview for Cadets (250 hours) in EMA...please answer me.........THANKS!!!!

I believe its very simple and straightforward. They ask you two questions, can you afford the type rating and do you have adequate supplies of vaseline. A negative to either rules you out of consideration.

i found this in old forum......To be honest it seems like you don't know what you are talking about...5 of my mates have been to EMA this year, all have had Personnel Interviews and only 2 passed the SIM.

Search and there is loadsa info, but this should be enough.

Sim: More times then not > SID W2T Liverpool, En route Wallasey you climb to 6000ft and nail 230 kts or increase to 250 as required. At Wallasey steep turns 45aob. Vectors south with a required speed to matain in descent, varies and maybe a few turns in descent and a few questions on QDM/QDR and you may be given a specific QDM to track towards the Liverpool NDB. Then you brief for approach and questioned on entry to hold, some do hold and some dont. En-route hold engine fire and shut down. Over the beacon for hold or procedural ILS to land single engine.
Tech Interview: your life story, your flying story, Tech questions on most recent twin flown so know it well-speeds/procedures/eng etc etc. some questions on plates or TAF's/METARS or flight planning or minimums for T/O and LDG etc etc.
HR interview: Your life story and tell them about the shrine you have been building for Ryanair over the years.

And they aint joking about the vaseline, ask any FR pilot.

Here's hoping this is the right forum for this...

There's a lot about Ryanair flying around at the moment, and for a desperate and keen 737 captain its an attractive job prospect - at least on the surface. But obviously no company that apparently successful keeps an entirely clean closet.

So before making a wrong move.... what - in brief - is the real situation at Ryanair for a new pilot?? Is it a total illusion?? Is it hard work for fair pay or hard work for no thanks?? How long do pilots stay there?? By which I mean is it a company one envisages retiring with or is it a stepping stone to where you really want to go? Worth moving half a world away or not worth even getting out of bed for? A dream or a nightmare??

Any succinct advice would be much appreciated.......:confused:

Ps: Yes I know I could search engine the 156 pages for back info on the current/past threads but was being lazy and hoping someone could precis it all?? Doesn't hurt to try.....:ok:

Sorry if this is off the subject a bit but the other posts are old and I may not get a reply soon enough.
I plan, still, on progressing to Ryanair. I was just wondering what the hours are like during the line training. Do you work a full rota or do you do less hours until you qualify and if so, what are these hours generally, approx.?
Just want to know if it is possible to do a few gigs (DJing 1 or 2 nights) a week to keep the money to pay the regular bills coming in!

I don't think I will be close to home. I was just enquiring wheter or not it is worth going down the Ryanair route. Unfortunately I am not in the position at the moment to work for a wage that is reduced by so much. I am obviously prepared to take some hit to get on in my career, but I was wondering if I could soften the blow!
Basically what I want to know is, is there enough time to SAFELY moonlight to keep the wages up for the duration of the training?

Think I should stay 'out in the fields' and go 'over the hills and far away' then!
So, basically this is the story I get so far.
Get up as far as MCC/IR and then keep applying to anybody who will give me a job with a rating that is refundable. During my training I will basically have no money to pay for the essentials!
Lads, oh and ladies, how do you do it? I really really want to fly for a career but I don't see how i, and my family, could survive that hit in our incomes.
Has anybody else come up against this barrier. If so, what did you do?
Sorry for melting your heads folks, I just want to be 100% sure. I will still keep training and plugging away as I really love it at the moment. If it was the case would I be better off going as far as instructor, as I live near the Flight centre, and then funding my training from that! If I can build up enough in reserve I could probably afford to go do the line training then without it affecting our home income.

For an insight into the sim why not ask your 2mates that were checked?
