Please help us to help you !

If you are an aircrew flying in/out Birmingham (BHX) please look at the newly launched Brum ATC website as we need your views on a couple of points:

ie...... 1) The state of the BHX ATIS 2) Conditional Clearances.

There is also information and a regular newsletter of topics that affect you!

We do our best to give you a good service and you can help make it better with your ideas or comments.

Many Thanks
BBB

Moderators :- if you need to move this thread please dont put it in the ATC pages as it wont get to its target audience, (ie BHX aircrew) many thanks for your help.

30W - nice to see that someone has a need to call 'Mumbai' rather than Canaries or Paphos - sorry mate, could not resist a response !

Registered on the new ATC web-site, good luck and thanks to all concerned - nb, could we see some photographs of the controllers - we do wonder what you actually look like !!!!

Hi Beamer,

LoL, Yes fair cop!! LoL Didn't you get quite that far out on your Round The World??

For what it's worth, have just this week had quite a go at management on behalf of all those of you who aren't revalidated yet, including personally to DFO. We'll watch their actions, but not hold breath for fear of suffocation........

Don't push for photos, they might want ours posted also - a VERY scarry prospect!!

See you soon, May rapidly approaches :-(

Thanks for that - a bit off topic I guess, I just wish they would stick to their own rules rather than throw them out of the window when the crew shortage, oops what shortage, rears its head. Personally I do not expect to see the big bird until next summer(2006) at the earliest !

How is your day job at Norwich Union ?

Thanks for the comments about the website, we've worked hard on it over the last 3 months. Hopefully we can improve it further with better photographs & an ATC interview next month.

Over the last couple of years, we have also offered local crews an even closer insight with ATC Simulation days. This is where crews get the opportunity to vector inbounds and outbounds (with prejudice of course) on the BHX ATC Simulator.

These simulation days have proved invaluable to aircrew and controllers alike. Understanding eachothers work requirements, needs and complexities only serve to benefit us all; either in day to day operations or in times of emergency.
