A friend of mine who has aquired a local reputation for aluminium welding said that he'd recently welded some cracks in what he was told was an exhaust manifold for a 1902 aero engine. Granted there were specialised engines being built in 1902 (according to Voisin anyway), but are there any still in working condition?

Not any that powered a heavier than air aircraft in flight, obviously.

Previous efforts for airships could still be around, but doubt that anyone would want to run them. Still, some of the earlier efforts were steam engines and there are very old railroad and stationary steam engines that have been run recently, so why not.

Last time I worked on the Ffestiniog Railway (sometime in the 60's) one of the engines was 100yrs old, oldest running in regular service and I'm sure it still will be.

100 yr old aero engines may be a little harder to find.
