Worked with them rather than for them and the crews all seem like a good bunch. Lots of problems though last summer on some routes, where crews were arriving at the aircraft long after the scheduled time of departure and hence running into long delays. Not going to speculate what the problem was there.

Very smelly galleys though, so take a clothes peg. :D

I also worked with rather than for ICB they are not a bad outfit but I always felt the line training was not as thorough as it could have been.

For those of you that worked with rather than for Islandsflug, did you go through an agency and if so which one?

As far as I'm aware, Air Atlanta bought Islandsflug.

Worked with them last winter. Very nice outfit indeed. No diff. in treatment btw. the locals and the contract people. They were expanding at that time, so everything done 5 mins. before.
Pay was usually on time (which by all fairness really was not Icebird's business in my case), very nice accomodation at the 4 bases I tried, fairly good std. on the fltdeck, some people very good, some somewhat less..... (Like everywhere I guess....... )
Scheduling tried to accomodate your request, which succeeded in most cases.

All in all a good experience.....
