Firewall & anti-virus

Hi,

Can anyone update me on the best firewall and anti-virus software around at the moment? I am looking for software thats not too expensive but does a good job in protecting my PC, also if there are any FREE firewall anti-virus...if there is such a thing!!

What would you recommend???
