Heres a puzzle for all of you thats likely to make your brains ache..
Three men go into a shop to buy a television priced at £30 (thirty pounds). They each contribute a tenner and leave with the telly.
Shortly afterwards the owner realises he has overcharged them - the correct price for the TV was £25. Overcome with guilt and remorse he gives his young Saturday assistant £5 and asks him to go after the men to return it.
The boy spots the men but being an enterprising sort, he decides the men would know no different and pockets £2 for himself. Catching up with the men he gives them £3 back which they gratefully distribute between themselves - £1 each.
With their £1 back each man has therefore paid £9 each. 3 x 9 = 27 + the £2 the boy had = £29.
Where has the other £1 gone?
