Go to the gym
Go for a nice walk
If possible, go for a surf (beach)
Remember funny stuff the big fella does
Remember how my brother makes me laugh
Sit down and watch a funny DVD
Phone a friend for a chat
Email Mum
Find short movies on my HD of funny cat antics

I've been finding out that stroking a dog's shoulder has a remarkable effect ,more so than stroking the head and neck. Especially black dogs.

It's also the proper way to greet a horse, plus breathing in their nostrils.

Serious tip: if you suffer from frequent bouts of the "black dog" examine your diet very closely. All those additives the food industry puts in industrially-produced food do no-one any good. Many can cause depression and some are even carcinogenic.

When I had dogs I used to take off the heels and don on the wellies and hike over hill and vale for hours with them. Get back and feel a different person.

Now, with the kids instead of the dogs do what Handspringguy does and put on a good record usually something rock orientated and grab one of the kids and dance or just do a very physical work out

Works every time! :ok:

Never go near the songs that make you feel worse! Happened this morning turned on the radio and playing Heart "Alone" had to turn channels too many memories with that one :(

I have a few remedies:

1 A tennis match (especially if you win)

2 A session in the gym

3 A Proper laugh about something really stupid (or very rude)

4 A bottle of wine

5 Retail therapy

6 A truly indulgent holiday

And sometimes nothing works because life is shit and there's nothing you can do about it!! :{
