First I apologise if this has been already discussed but does anyone/everyone else get this on arrival and navigating around this site?

It's a small "Prompt" menu asking to:
Please enter the master password for the Software Security Device.
I have a choice to enter a word and either click OK or Cancel.
Ignoring it by clicking Cancel or just closing the menu using the little red cross makes it go and I can carry on viewing the site. It may or may not pop up again around the site. It's only on PPRUNE that I get this.
Any thoughts on what this can be?

You might have a trojan keylogger. Run any/all of:

Spybot S&D

Spywareblaster

AdAware

HiJackThis

Ewido Guard

full virus scan

Are you using Mozilla?

software security device. The default security device used by Certificate Manager to store private keys associated with your certificates. In addition to private keys, the software security device stores the master key used by Password Manager to encrypt email passwords, web site passwords, and other sensitive information.

Thanks to you both for your replies.
I use Firefox and evo's suggestion has hit the nail on the head. I also unleashed my army of malware defenders - Spybot etc.- to have a quick sorte to ensure that all is well.
Cheers.
