Nothing on the clock but the makers name.....

That reminds me of the joke of the guy who went to see the lady watchmaker, dropped his trousers and asked her if she could "put a face and two hands on this". :E

I'm assuming her response was to strike

22nd Mar 2005, 17:47
Not another (w)horological joke

22nd Mar 2005, 17:48
I'm assuming her response was to strike
......after ticking him off.

That's another horrible-logic-all joke.

22nd Mar 2005, 18:27
Yes, this year is definitely shaping up to be a good year :E

Got a great job, just about to start the tours.

Wedding plans underway.

Weather's warming up for Junior :D

Big fella's scored a promotion so we can finally afford to buy a house. :D

Life's what you make it. I reckon that since I can walk, talk and basicly enjoy this life then why not? Sure, copped a few knocks along the way but hey, who doesn't? I'm alive, in pretty good health, doing what I want and with someone I want to be with.
How can it get better? :D

That reminds me of the joke of the guy who went to see the lady watchmaker, dropped his trousers and asked her if she could "put a face and two hands on this".

Last time I heard this one, it was told about Bill Clinton showing "a guest" around the White house, and the tour included "the White House C_(l)_ock", at which point, the visitor was asked to "put a face and two hands on it". :E :E

22nd Mar 2005, 20:25
No... definately no... :(

22nd Mar 2005, 20:45
Pretty good. Got a minging man cold this week though (like a normal cold but worse).

22nd Mar 2005, 20:51
Not particularly. But that's only because some rather unpleasant person hasn't paid me for several days work in a certain Telephone Exchange.

Oh and I also had a very bad, I think terminal, argument with my partner.

22nd Mar 2005, 21:02
Where's a Mod when you need one?
They're around in the wee hours at the weekend to take away our travel permits but when a thread needs to be moved to Agony Aunts not one in sight.
Terminal arguments and the like, no sympathy here I'm afraid

But for what it's worth life aint bad, especially with new work rota starting next month of 10 work 20 off.

22nd Mar 2005, 21:12
Well I need oodles of sympathy at present, many oodles of it if you please.

22nd Mar 2005, 21:16
Pull yourself together, you big girl's blouse!!!!

.....come on, admit it. You smiled, didn't you? ;)

22nd Mar 2005, 21:22
OK I was being a big girl's blouse.

It just upsets me very slightly when I allow to bring Broadband to 463 people and not get paid !!!!

I'm not an optimist - my glass is neither half full, nor half empty. Its full to the top - I don't drink water...

Now, I woke up this morning - that's always a good start - what's next on the agenda?

23rd Mar 2005, 07:06
Bit like the Curate's egg.

Good in parts.

23rd Mar 2005, 09:20
It's all a very strange mixture of extremes at the moment. I guess the word "interesting" would not be out of place.

23rd Mar 2005, 09:51
It is better than the alternative.:)

If you think life's a joke... just remember the punchline...

23rd Mar 2005, 10:32
On beautiful days like this yes life is worth every thing that it throws at you.

Other days maybe not but as people have said better than the alternative and I don't plan to be there before my time

TnT :p :ok:

Quite agree

Staying positive despite the crud being thrown at me... As you say not always easy but you have to...:ok:

I want to be able to look back on my old age...:uhoh: :E

23rd Mar 2005, 12:24
At the moment it's good, yes, but I've experienced plenty of the troughs as well as the peaks & at the moment fingers crossed I'm heading towards a peak again. :D

I find no matter how carefully one manages ones life there will be circumstances outside our control that will put a spanner in the works. As someone said to me once when I was going through a particularly hard time "Everyone goes through the mill at some time".

The more I talk to people & get beneath their surface facade the more I'm realising this is true but maybe these experiences, which are part & parcel of life, make us stronger & build character. To be honest though if I'd had a choice I'd rather not have gone through them & I hope I never go through the likes again. :\

In the meantime I'm enjoying the good times, I just hope they last. :ok:

My life is great, minor bumps gives extra spice and flavor.

23rd Mar 2005, 16:32
My life's a mess. I wish I could just add a little chilli powder to give it extra spice and flavour, like with curries. I wish I could start all over. Or else get 6 numbers on the Lotto PDQ, that would make life a whole lot more interesting...
