Here in the great white north, the Airbus and Boeing salesmen are hard it vying for the 767 replacement with the choice of A350 or 787. Decision is near it seems...sometime this month.

As usual, I hear from the folks I know in engineering and bean-counting, Airbus are offering a line of credit, and all sorts of other concessions are coming out of Toulouse. Boeing are offering to take the A340s (and of course, as everyone appears to know, the A340-500s haven't gone down too well in these parts)perhaps some of the A330s, along with some creative deal to make the 767s, now the grand-daddy of the fleet, last till at least 2010, with nice new 777 type interiors, IFE enhancements and, the main point of this post, winglets.

Not knowing too much about 67 ops in Europe, anyone out there know of any outfit, aside from CO 757s in the US of course, that have taken the plunge and spent the rumoured $1m for the winglets?
