what is the epaulette bars policy for MAS pilots?

Ummm...go drink water? I don't get it.
What do you mean by policy? Wearing them in public, or what the bars mean?
4 is for captains, 3 for 1st Officers, 2 1/2 for First Officers without ATPL, 2 for 2nd officers, 1 for cadets, and 4+star for fleet managers
