Pakistan and Sri Lanka have agreed to establish direct air links between Islamabad-Colombo and Lahore-Colombo from 1st of May.

PIA, would start two flights weekly from Islamabad to Colombo, while Sri Lankan Airlines have been authorized to run two flights weekly between Lahore and Colombo.

Following the agreement, services between the two countries would be increased from six to ten per week, at present both sides operate three flights each a week between Karachi-Colombo.
