Guys,

When you have an aircraft registration like below. How can you identify which airline owns it and is there a table or something where you can look these up.

EC-HKN

PH-BFL

Because Airliners have a tendency to change operators quite often it's tricky to keep tabs on who's flying a particular aircraft at any one time. Airliners.Net is the favourite site for internet plane watching because there are loads of contributors, most of whom are busting to get photos published. Despite having a high proportion of geeks (the forums have to be seen to be believed!!) it's a good resource, simply thanks to the sheer amont of images available, being added to even as we speak.

Myself I take 'Aviation Letter' every month, this lists all the latest changes of Owner/Operator/Tail#, but it's paper-only and can be a week or two behind what you'll actually see at an airport.

there is a section on the CAA website i believe where you can search on registrations, i dont think it shows a complete list though.

ie. you give it the reg, and it tells you what it is

I usually put the registration (yes, just that!)into Google, and usually come up with a picture within milliseconds. Just try it! Wonderful!

Instantly got this for EC-HKN-------

Good links but some of the info is woefully outdated.

Well.it WOULD be! The caption on my link tells you the aircraft was re-registered in 2001!

As suggested, the CAA website under G-INFO will give you all the details about British aircraft - some of the data given is quite interesting. Not sure if other nations have such a thing.

For airliner (only) identification try: http://www.airfleets.net/home/index.php which has a search by mark feature.

And scroll down to Aircraft registrations. This will give links to hundreds of on-line registers both amateur and official.
